I can understand your fear of being robbed of your art, but then again, by being a member here, it's a risk every artist makes. There are always some asses who will go so low as to pass others' work off as theirs. I know, it's a sad fact of life, but it happens. The actions of a reckless few often tend to ruin things for everybody else.

However, there are still people who in spite of that still post their work. By hiding your art from others, you protect it from the idiot populace, certainly, but you also rob other, more respectful people, in a way, of witnessing your true talent. A bunch of people here recognize this and have taken it to heart. Even Brianna-sama, whom you seem to know and has had her work stolen before (I've seen evidence of it on various websites), isn't afraid to submit her work, and look at how many people have come to her page and praised her for it! These same people are inspired to keep working at their techique so that they can be as good as she is, and I'm betting that Brianna herself is encouraged by the huge amount of support she's gotten to continue drawing. The benefits of putting your work up are linked together, as you can see.

I don't know how many people whom you know have actually seen your artwork, but even if there's a lot of them, it should never hurt to let others see and comment on it, too. You get more opinions on how well you've done, you know? I know there's always someone lurking around, waiting for an opportunity to insult you or steal your work from under your nose, but keep in mind that those people aren't too often encountered, even here. Trust me, I've had my work berated and stolen before; I know what it feels like, and I also know that the same people who do that kind of stuff to you will RARELY ever dare to try it again, unless you give them adequate enough reason. If anyone tries to do such a thing repeatedly to you here, you know there will always be others to back you up and put a stop to it. You just need to let them know.

I'm not asking that you start putting your work up here; please know this. I'm just saying that while there are people twisted enough to offend others like that, there are a bunch more who will appreciate your work and respect your wishes. The good almost always outweighs the bad, you know? You don't need to always be afraid of showing off what you can do.

Again, if you don't want to put your art up here, that's fine. But in case you ever do decide to post it, I'll keep you on my watch so I can take a look. I hope that you can come out of your shell someday. I'd really like to see your work.
